Founded in 2001, the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation is a
501(c)3 charity that uses education, empowerment and health care to uplift the impoverished peoples of the Dominican
Republic. A United Nations model, the Cigar Family project
currently includes a primary and high school serving over 450
students, health care center serving over 100,000 people in 12 communities, recreational and sports facilities, community
kitchen, vocational classes, health and hygiene outreach
programs and college placement initiatives. To date over 200
students have graduated from the Cigar Family School with

Because the Fuente and Newman families underwrite all of the administrative costs of the charity, when a donation is made –100% of that donation goes to fund the mission of the project.
